The schedule above is normally used for an FA/CPR/AED Course.
The Video/PowerPoint presentation (one of these presentation methods will be used. The video is 4-5 hrs and the PowerPoint is 6-7 hrs.) covers the following topics:
First Aid Section: First Aid Provider Legal Considerations, Recognizing and Emergency and deciding to help, Personnel Safety, Patient Assessment, Soft-Tissue Injuries, Muscle and Bone Injuries, Facial Injuries, Burns, Sudden Illnesses, Poisoning, Bites and Stings, Environmental Emergencies, CPR/AED Section: Sudden Cardiac Arrest, CPR and AED Provider, Basic CPR Skills, Basic Life Support Care, Defibrillation, Foreign Body/Airway Obstruction, Emotional Considerations.
The Hands-On skills may include any of the following above listed topics in the First Aid Section. The hands-on skill for the CPR/AED section will include CPR Compressions and Breathing on a Manikin, Using AED properly.
This class is designed as a 6 Hour class. The cost is $75.00 per person. The minimum number of participants for a class is eight people. The maximum number for the class is 20 people.
